We’re looking for a staff engineer to help architect and build the systems that enable our product engineers to succeed. As one of the most senior members you will be responsible for the workflows for the entire engineering team, ensuring everyone standardizes on the same tooling with scalability, testability, maintainability and robustness in mind. You will be making decisions on what state management libraries, graphql data fetching libraries, micro-frontend architecture, and shared state management systems we use. You will be responsible for driving the execution of these decisions to make sure we achieve 100% adoption in the org.

As a Staff Engineer you will:

  • Create & maintain high level design & documentation about our frontend architecture, showing how all the pieces come together with detailed deep dives in key areas.
  • Come up with a series of frontend standards and guidelines, building a migration plan to reach eventual adoption and ensure in code reviews they are followed.
  • Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on engineering best practices.
  • Identify key areas of optimization to increase application performance.
  • Evaluate new frameworks and tools, setting our technical direction and push towards standardization.
  • Mentor other engineers in best practices, training them to have an outsized impact on the codebase.
  • Evangelize the work, sharing in large all-hands meetings changes proposed and measured success metrics.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have 6+ years of experience developing the frontend infrastructure that enables products to be built
  • Have extensive experience working in a frontend infrastructure role.
  • Are seen as a technical leader in your organization. Other team members seek you out for mentorship and advice.
  • Thrive in a technical leadership role on an engineering team, and are constantly seeking opportunities to encourage those around you to excel.
  • Like to work closely with other engineers to understand their developer experience problems, iteratively collecting feedback.
  • Have a good understanding of current and emerging trends in web application development.
