Cloud Chamber is looking for an organized and proactive Tools Support Specialist to join our development team. Your job will be to provide first-line support to our programming departments. Under the supervision and direction from our Lead Tools Programmer you will act as the central point of contact for all internal tooling at Cloud Chamber.

Job Details:

  • Support programmers in issue resolution.
  • Assist with first-line support for our project.
  • Assist in implementing basic automated acceptance and validation tests.
  • Assist in defining acceptance test automation planning.
  • Validate defect corrections.
  • Create and maintain test documentation.
  • Create and send reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with peers across the globe.
  • Assist in training and/or producing tutorials to teach the basic features of the tools.
  • Maintain and develop processes in an effort to provide effective and stable tools.
  • Establish and communicate data validation rules.
  • Help in cleaning content data and keeping it clean for the whole project.
  • Carry out other related tasks as may be assigned.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a DEC in a Computer field or an equivalent experience, a plus.
  • Basic understanding of a scripting language (Python preferred).
  • Basic understanding of C++ and/or C#.
  • Experience with creating rigor and structure to a process. 
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of resourcefulness.
  • Ability to focus and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making.
  • Advanced knowledge of computers (Advanced OS features, VM, Cloud, or similar).
  • Ability to open crashdumps and read call stacks.
  • Ability to read and understand a log file.
  • Experience with debugging applications.
  • Ability to take direction well.
  • A positive force multiplier with a great team-player attitude. 
  • Mature outlook on work ethics and responsibilities.

Nice But Not Necessary:

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Basic knowledge of databases and networks (SQL, Elastic, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Source Control Management software (such as Perforce).
  • Knowledge of test automation practices and software (TDD, BDD, Ranorex, Selenium, or similar).
  • Understanding of continuous delivery pipelines (Build Systems such as TeamCity) and production tools.

This is a fully remote role that may be based anywhere in the United States. Below are the expected salary and wage ranges for applicants based in locations where the pay transparency law is in effect:

Colorado: $46,800 and $84,200 per year
California: $54,700 and $93,000 per year
New York State (inclusive of New York City): $54,700 and $93,000 per year
Washington: $46,800 and $84,200 per year

Base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 14 paid holidays per calendar year, are eligible to earn a minimum of 15 days of vacation leave per year (subject to proration based on start date during the calendar year) and will receive 10 sick days per calendar year. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, 4 including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
