Tempus is seeking a Sales Operations Associate to play a pivotal role in the operational and strategic aspects of our Life Science business. This role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from setting annual sales quotas to automating and preparing presentations for internal business reviews, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings. The successful candidate will possess a strong aptitude for data analysis, with an exceptional ability to generate insights and translate these into easy-to-understand graphs and visuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Planning & Execution:
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to guide strategic sales planning.
- Analyze sales data to identify performance trends, updating sales strategies based on market insights and performance metrics.
- Enhance account segmentation and tiering by analyzing customer data, refining strategies based on account potential and market dynamics.
- Sales Forecasting & Performance Analysis:
- Lead the collection and analysis of sales data to construct and update sales forecasts.
- Facilitate forecast meetings, adjusting forecasts as necessary and communicating significant changes to the team.
- Track sales effectiveness and efficiency through KPI management, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Commission process ownership & management
- Reporting, Dashboard Maintenance & Business Review Preparation:
- Maintain and update sales dashboards for real-time performance tracking.
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
- Develop materials and insights for Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews, ensuring a high level of preparation and insight delivery.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-3+ years of experience in business operations, consulting, strategy, or a related role within a high-growth environment. Experience in healthcare or life sciences is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing large datasets and delivering actionable insights. Experience in Excel and financial modeling is highly valued.
- A proven track record of building processes to improve sales and operational efficiency.
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Business Development, Analytics, Legal, and Finance to support strategic account management.
- Strong ability to create compelling presentations and communicate insights and strategies effectively to leadership teams.
