About the Job:

Taco Bell is looking for a highly motivated leader with demonstrated strength in marketing operations, budget planning and oversight, and performance delivery / reporting to serve as a Manager in the newly formed Marketing Operations Department.  

The Manager of Marketing Operations will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the marketing organization with a focus on planning, budget oversight, and reporting/dashboard development to enable the Marketing function to make sound, data driven decisions and enable delivery against well-defined targets. Using analytics and reporting, s/he will be responsible for tracking delivery against our strategy and providing line of sight towards hitting goals. The Manager will partner cross-functional and within team to build a world-class marketing operations center of excellence at Taco Bell.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Support Senior Director, Marketing Operations, in annual strategy and budget planning process, including Board meeting, annual operating planning, etc.
  • Support the process of developing an annual operating budget with finance partners, working across the Marketing function.
  • Lead process to provide executive updates on Marketing function performance, activities, working across Marketing with initiative owners to deliver
  • Perform financial analysis of Marketing spend to bring awareness of key drivers of variances
  • Optimize marketing spend, ensuring effective utilization of the marketing budget to drive ROI 
  • Develop dashboards and other information sharing opportunities to ensure teams’ success in meeting defined goals - hold the team accountable in achieving said goals
  • Identify opportunities to optimize our budget governance model within Marketing
  • Work hand-in-hand with marketing, finance and insights to ensure effective processes are in place to actively monitor, analyze, measure and report the health of marketing contribution 
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Insights and CAV to develop, implement, and disseminate metrics/KPIs about performance and outcomes through dashboards and data visualization tool sets to monitor business health, including marketing database, performance integrity and accuracy, capturing insights and making recommendations 
  • Manage select marketing agency partners to ensure accountability to statement of works and agencies and internal teams are working seamlessly and efficiently, including quarterly agency performance updates
  • Discover and implement new marketing tools that help optimize our customer journey and enable business growth
  • Support Senior Director of Marketing Operations, working on initiatives or special projects as needed.
  • Work with and coach analyst to oversee the process of identifying and evaluating opportunities for improved operations, record keeping and reporting.
  • Master and implement operational best practices to effectively help build center of excellence within Marketing Operations

Is This You?

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience (Business/Marketing Operations, Strategy & Insights, Corporate Planning)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning/financial management and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively develop and build new functional and operational processes
  • Excellent influencing, relationship management, communication, and organizational skills including distilling broad strategy into well-structured strategic materials.
  • Strong knowledge of internal Marketing operations and processes to develop campaigns
  • Track record of building, improving and measuring marketing processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment with great attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and build strategic partnerships
  • Experience introducing new ways of working across physical and digital media,
