they have been cooked sufficiently. Monitor food quality while preparing food. Set-up and break down
work station. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles. Wash and disinfect kitchen area,
tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances
and food. They must be able to communicate effectively with the team to ensure a seamless
experience. This position will also be responsible for assisting the culinary team for the overall
cleanliness of the hotel restaurant, kitchen areas, and guest services, when necessary, in support of the
stewarding team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Run the day-to-day operation of the 3 employee cafeteria areas.
• Assist with the daily receiving, organization and storage of all delivered items.
• All food items must be prepared and maintained according to all health code standards
• Maintain all service needs to make for a great team member dining experience.
• Maintain and produce beverages, including coffee and tea for all Team Member dining areas
• Keep all areas clean and welcoming
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor
• Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
• Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes
• Inspect, clean, and organize all items, send soiled items back for re-cleaning and re-washing if necessary
• Sort, soak, and wash china, glass and silverware
• Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
• Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
• Dispose of glass in the proper containers
• Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals
• Leadership - Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
• Customer Service - Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

• Safety - Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company• Due to the intimate nature of the resort with limited number of guests on property, must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different resort spaces

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
• This is an entry position into the culinary/ kitchen
• Hotel/resort experience preferred
• Must be able to be on feet for entire shift and communicate with guests appropriately and effectively
• Above and beyond attitude is required as well as a flexible schedule with ability to work weekends/holidays and evenings
• Must be able to obtain any required food handing or alcohol serving certifications required by local or state agencies.
