As a Director of Product at Sensei Wellness, you'll bring significant product launch experience, grit and creativity to conceive of and pioneer novel new solutions to complex problems. Your passion for creating products that delight is evident. You demonstrate strong management experience, attention to craft, and ability to define and deliver on a compelling vision that drives business outcomes. You will foster cross-functional and cross-team collaboration and consistency by working closely with product design, engineering, research, data science, finance, marketing, operations, and executive leadership to articulate a strategy, navigate competing priorities, and build a best-in-class experience in a fast-paced, agile environment. And, you’ll integrate products that sit in and distributed through business-to-consumer outlets in the leisure travel and club membership arenas, as well as seeking a deeper understanding and application of the product to expand the its audience to a larger health/fitness wearables and App marketplace. Sensei seeks someone who is technically proficient bringing products from concept through market distribution and looking to push the envelope on what tomorrow’s experiences will be for millions of consumers looking to discover how to live longer, higher quality lives. Sensei’s consumer platform lives within the leisure travel and club environments and experience in or ability to work and adapt to those arenas is required.
Responsibilities
- As a key leader in the company, you will be responsible for influencing strategy and goals, and for setting the product direction for the company
- Lead, define, represent and communicate product strategy to all stakeholders
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and metrics
- Monitor product development sprints and evaluate results
- Communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other stakeholders
- Drive product analytics to understand feature usage, comprehension, and optimization
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of Product Managers and Product Designers
- Own the overall Product Roadmap: strategy, goals, priorities, research, analysis, execution, process, organization, design, testing, delivery, and release communication
- Implement rigorous product management processes to enable both quantitative goal setting and measurement and qualitative design research and testing
- Develop a customer-centric product culture by leading consistent participation in conversations with end-customers
- Own the end-to-end processes related to product discovery, including identifying problems and opportunities, rapidly validating our assumptions, and defining the solutions that we deliver to our customers
- Work closely with our CTO to ensure efficient implementation of product improvements and facilitate engineering involvement in product discovery
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with the marketing, physical product, operational users and customer services teams and address stakeholder concerns
- Lead research on consumer insights, product design, analytics, and competitive intelligence to identify unseen opportunities, and drive product & experience innovation
- Stay on the cutting edge of what’s new in technology and user experience, identifying, experimenting with acting on new technologies and interaction patterns
- Any and all requests as directed by your supervisor(s)
Requirements
- A minimum of 10-years of experience in product management, 5+ years leading, developing and mentoring high performing product teams
- Proven ability to work with designers, engineers, consumer facing/operational employees, finance and marketing departments
- Experience working on social or consumer facing products across multiple platforms
- A strong sense of user empathy
- Experience working with and enabling external partnerships
- Successful track record of execution in building a critical path map and taking products fully from ideation through launch
- Experience with consumer apps at scale
- A strong background in consumer-focused technology and wellness/fitness Apps and wearables and their related platforms is a plus
