Position Description

Sensei is seeking a Contractor Spa Assistant to join our team. This individual will provide assistance to the Spa team and Spa area and a general support for guest service in the Spa and Support Building areas.  This position reports to the Spa Manager and will operate in a five-star resort setting and work with a team to provide the highest level of service to our guests and support to our team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for cleaning and servicing an assigned number of rooms per day.
  • Daily duties include changing sheets and linens, replenishing towels, folding linen and robes, loading/driving a van and cart.
  • Inspects and evaluates the physical condition and appearance of Hale’s and laundry room to ensure the highest cleaning standards are met.
  • Reports any issue in spa equipment to the Spa Manager.
  • Signs in and out of time clock in timely manner
  • Loads and transports cart to assigned area, keeping an inventory of supplies used.
  • Greets guests in a friendly manner, providing service and information when possible.
  • May complete special assignments as requested by management.
  • Properly disposes of garbage from waste cans throughout the facility including treatment rooms and offices.
  • Unloads and loads dishwasher daily.
  • Takes inventory of each treatment room and replenishes linens, amenities, and other supplies.
  • Delivers additional supplies to treatment rooms.
  • Routinely inspects treatments rooms for maintenance needs, notifying issues to management.
  • Performs additional related duties as requested by a manager at any time.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Qualifications

  • Must be able to operate equipment, including: An iPad, computer,  vacuum cleaner, a van and golf cart
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, reach above shoulders, kneel, twist, and grip items.
  • Ability to push and pull equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40  pounds properly.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A current and valid drivers license.
  • Individual must be highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Working knowledge of chemicals, cleaning supplies, and technique/equipment.
  • Ability to speak, write, read and understand English required, bilingual helpful.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
