Our team is rapidly growing and looking for an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer(s) to lead DevOps efforts and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers. We enjoy the challenges of human-centered design, security, and scale to create better outcomes for our federal agency partners. We are a remote-first and work completely in the open source.
What you will do:
- Work as a DevSecOps Engineer focusing on problems at Scale involving Kubernetes
- Develop Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code using GitCI
- AWS cloud infrastructure experience
- Ability to create Helm charts and deploy to Rancher
- Develop quick bash/Python/Perl/go scripts
- Eagerly look for opportunities to automate
- Integrate services with Kubernetes, and other third-party systems
- Learn new tools by building upon experience in foundational knowledge
- Use logs to pinpoint where issues are in the code
- Find an itch and contribute back to open source
- Experience using Jenkins
- Help in DevSecOps tasks such as container security, hardening, baselining, and CI/CD
- Be an active member in in daily scrum meetings, bi-weekly sprint planning, and quarterly milestone planning, and as-needed pairing sessions
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience with Kubernetes, including RKE2 or EKS and other containerization tools such as Docker
- Knowledge of Istio, Custom Kubernetes Operators, Custom Helm charts, Custom Admission Controllers, Custom CRDs, or Custom Controllers
- 3+ years of experience building, operating and maintaining compliant computing environments in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure
- 2+ years' experience with Golang
- Experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Cloudformation or Ansible
- Experience with supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure
- Experience with automating CI/CD pipelines
- Experience using Python for automation
- Experience with modern infrastructure
- BA or BS degree
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with database and monitoring tools, i.e MySQL, MongoDB, EFK, or Prometheus
- Ability to develop custom Kubernetes Operators
- Experience with Agile software development
- Experience with Groovy
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect
Clearance: US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or above
