Job Title: Sr. Manager, Art & Creative

Job Summary: This role is a key creative leader and quality advocate with responsibilties spanning across all aspects of art and creative related to game and mobile application development at The Pokemon Company International (TPCi). The role is responsible for contributing to and delivering on the long-term strategy for the Art & Creative department. The Art & Creative department supports the creative endeavors of the internal game and application development studio, focused on first and third party development of games and mobile apps that extend the Pokemon brand. This role works with team members and other stakeholders ensuring high quality art, creative, and design, enabling the organization to provide experiences that delight our customers.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as a leader across the Art & Creative department, including mentorship and development responsibilities for members of the team.
  • Improve the efficiency of the Art & Creative organization through effective leadership, identification of individual and group training, and overall people development.
  • Deliver risk mitigation through proactive long-term strategic planning for the department.
  • Provide insights and define the criteria for reporting through collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends allowing the team to measure and report on deliverables and quality across multiple project teams.
  • Identify, develop, and sustain partnerships, both within the Technology Organization, as well as with other organizations at TPCi.
  • Educate partners on best practices, metrics, and influence implementation and design for art and creative across all TPCi digital products.
  • Work with your leadership team and consult with necessary parties to determine the artistic approach and style of a project.

What you’ll bring

  • Ten+ (10+) years of relevant experience, two+ (2+) years of management experience.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, both as a leader of teams and as a leader of projects - dynamic, strategic and resourceful.
  • Extensive experience in leading and mentoring artists and designers.
  • Experience operating within an agile development environment, preferably SCRUM.
  • Experience analyzing complex problems and presenting multiple solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage and direct resources and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating both technical and non-technical information across teams and departments.
  • Ability to develop innovative campaigns and motivate artists and designers to develop innovative visuals and graphics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

  • Base salary range: $126000.00 - 189000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. It is common for TPCi to start employees below the midpoint of the range. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates qualifications and experience uniquely.
