Job Title: Sr. Manager, Game Design

Job Summary: This role will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of the TCG game design personnel for The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) game products. The primary responsibility will be to lead the game design development in partnership with lead/principle game designers and other TCG Product Team leaders.

What you’ll do

  • Ensures team develops game solutions in line with principal/lead game designer’s vision. Lead TCG game designers in communicating the unique features of products that lead to delighting customers and meeting product visions.
  • Lead process documentation and process improvement for Product Development internal processes.
  • Collaborate with Project Mangement and Process team and other internal teams on process improvement and process documentation for cross-functional processes.
  • Communicate and work with Project Managent & Process team to plan and schedule TCG Game Design work.
  • Effectively collaborate with other TCG Product Team leaders
  • Serve as mentor, leader and manager for a growing team of TCG game designers; present a solid example as to leadership and performance within the company.              

What you’ll bring

  • Ten+ (10+) years of relevant professional experience, plus two (2) years of management experience.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Experience managing game designers required.
  • Experience with TCGs, especially Pokémon TCG, preferred
  • A mastery of communicating game design through effective presentations, concise documentation, charismatic storytelling.
  • A proven track record of process improvement and improving process documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Base salary range: $126000.00 - 189000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. It is common for TPCi to start employees below the midpoint of the range. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates qualifications and experience uniquely.
