The Technical Project Manager (TPM) contributes to The Pokémon Company International’s success by managing individual technology projects, varying in size and scope, with key stakeholders such as DevOps, Digital Media, Localization, Legal, and other internal and external partners. The TPM takes responsibility for multiple projects at various places in their lifecycle and contributes to the Technical Program Management Office (TPMO) core principles of consistency, transparency and strategic business alignment.
What You Will Do
- Leads stakeholders through the discovery process and then develops the project plan including objective(s), requirements, resourcing, and dependencies.
- Coordinate and balance requirements, resources, dependencies, dates, deployment plans and more across multiple internal and external teams, working with both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
- Lead sprint planning, retrospectives and participates in daily scrum stand-ups for project development teams.
- Analyze data to understand issues and take corrective actions when needed, knowing when and how to escalate.
- Coaches others on Agile methodologies and project management best practices.
- Contributes to TPMO processes, standardization and best practices.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum of 4 years’ working experience in technical project/program management roles with experience working with Agile teams.
- Experience with project management for large scale, multi-million-dollar technology initiatives spanning cross-functional teams with complex deployments.
- Solid technical background, with understanding of SDLC, web technologies, implementation and roll outs.
- Strong understanding of various Agile delivery methods (Kanban, Scrum, Lean). Experience serving as a Scrum Master for dev teams, Certified Scrum Master a plus.
- Familiarity with navigating in JIRA and Confluence preferred.
