“Show Me the Data” is a core value of Pendo. Data is vitally important for understanding the success of the business. You will be responsible for querying and analyzing data, as well as building visualizations that help the organization quickly understand how the overall business and each functional group is performing. The summer internship program lasts 12 weeks and is designed to give interns a chance to gain exposure across several different areas of our business by doing meaningful work.

Responsibilities (what you’ll do):

  • Work closely with the business analytics team and representatives from all functional groups to understand their workflows, data, and business challenges
  • Use data analysis tools to explore, segment and understand data in order to find useful insights
  • Build dashboards that help teams understand overall performance and focus areas
  • Communicate business insights using dashboards to key stakeholders 
  • Learn how a fast-paced and growing business measures success and makes decisions
  • Contribute to one of the company’s core values

Qualifications (what you have):

  • Working toward a BS in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, or related Math / Science field
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong communicator and storyteller
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Looker experience a strong plus)
  • Technical curiosity, an eye for user experience, and a desire to enable faster innovation
  • Self-managed and committed to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly understand and appreciate underlying business context, problems, and objectives of analytical projects
