We are currently seeking to add a Project Civil Engineer to our dynamic team in Vancouver, Washington.
- Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 annually
- Employment Type: Full-time

In this role, our Project Civil Engineers work in a team environment with other engineers, project managers, and PBS staff to deliver dynamic projects that support and improve the quality of life in our communities. Project types vary from local agency transportation projects including signalized/roundabout intersection improvements, highway interchanges, and road corridors, to a variety of land development projects including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. We promote client-facing opportunities through project delivery to grow professional relationships and promote project responsibility through all levels of our team. QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field.
- PE in both Oregon and Washington or ability to obtain both within 6 months of hire.
- 5-10 years of increasingly responsible design experience.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation Inroads.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with local and national codes and standards.
Desirable Qualifications:
- A background in transportation and/or site design in Oregon or Washington.
- Stormwater modeling experience in WWHM 2012 or similar.
- Flexibility and creativity in project approaches, and openness to learn and develop.
- Desire to participate and represent PBS in professional organizations and functions.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform civil engineering design tasks to deliver state and local agency transportation projects and/or land development projects from pre-application to final engineering.
- Develop construction cost estimates and specification packages for a variety of project types.
- Work as a key member of design teams.
- Support and advise designers and technical staff to develop construction documents, prepare technical reports, coordinate with subconsultants,
