We are looking for a Contract Massage Therapist to join our new luxury life plan community!

Positions Summary:

  • Ascertain precautions/contraindications for each spa guest and associated scheduled treatment(s) prior to treatment commencement.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and sensitivity to age and gender related issues during all guest interactions; report any unusual client interactions to supervisor immediately.
  • Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Perform consecutive spa treatments, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
  • Properly care for professional spa equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  • Continuously learns services and products while educating and training spa guests in these areas.
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
  • Promote wellness retail programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform prep work and properly clean and restock room as required.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
  • Responsible for renewing therapist license as dictated by county/city/state regulation

Secondary Functions

  • Ensures a high level of resident satisfaction and engages by maintaining a courteous and professional manner through interactions with others. Communicates with key staff, residents and or residents’ families in a timely manner. 
  • Supports elements of employee wellness opportunities as requested.
  • Complies with Mather Code of Conduct, Policies, Compliance Program, and all applicable laws and regulations in performance of one’s job duties; reports all known and suspected violations to his/her supervisor or manager, Mather Compliance officer, a Human Resources representative, or the confidential employee helpline.
  • Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the company Mission, Core Values, and EMI philosophy.
  • Uses discretion in handling confidential information, incorporating all Federal, State and local privacy and confidentiality requirements. Ensures Mather consent protocols are followed across continuum for resident content.
  • Escort residents and guests throughout spa and salon.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold and maintain a current State Massage Therapist license.
  • Ability to use or learn a variety of tech-based services and platforms, i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, resident facing portals, and spa specific appointment/ booking software.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of the anatomy system, have excellent massage and bodywork techniques, possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills, and be willing to train in our spa specific massage and body treatment protocols.
