The Role

As Engineering Manager - Apps & Solutions, you are responsible for leading teams that deliver and grow the apps and solutions that are powered by the League Platform. You will work alongside our other product & platform teams, customer and strategy teams as well as current and prospective customers to support the design & delivery of apps that meet the goals of our customers. Identifying opportunities and working with the engineering organization to develop the right products, process, technology and documentation to accelerate solution delivery will be key to your success and growth in this role.

 
In this role, you will:
  • Work with the platform strategy team and prospective clients to design solutions that integrate our platform with their systems to meet their goals
  • Supporting vendor relationships with development agencies and system integrators to grow our capacity to deliver many powered by solutions simultaneously
  • Have regular 1:1s with team members that discuss both technical work and professional development
  • Work with product owners and tech leads to drive successful delivery of our product roadmap & client solutions
  • Own the partner developer portal, in partnership with the engineering platform teams
  • Anticipate and address issues within the team around communication, underperformance, interpersonal dynamics, and unclear ownership
  • Take a higher level view of architecture and tools, working with team members to identify and drive strategic investment opportunities in our tools and platform Constantly improve process and communication
  • Identify headcount needs for the team, and drive planning and recruiting to fill these needs
  • Adhere to all system operation policies including but not limited to Access Control, Encryption Control, Logging, Change Management, Platform Security, System Configuration, Physical and Incident Management policies

About You:

  • 7+ years experience building software applications
  • 3 + years experience leading development teams
  • Experience integrating complex enterprise systems
  • Understands and practices agile software development and management
  • Identifies problems and drives team to reach solutions and make decisions
  • Excels at getting the team to focus on the highest-impact projects
  • Communicates timeline, scope and technical concerns to business stakeholders
  • Sets clear expectations for team members; solicits, synthesizes and delivers feedback
  • Comfortable managing team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus
