KAYAK is seeking a highly-motivated Director to lead Business Development for KAYAK for Business SMB product. This person will report to the Senior Director KAYAK for Business and oversee all global customer-facing efforts winning new clients and growing volume with existing accounts in the SMB segment.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the SMB segment in the corporate travel space with superior business development skills. The candidate is expected to have the ability to effectively communicate with external and internal stakeholders (product, marketing, commercial teams, etc).
We are looking for candidates that are self-starters with ability to thrive in accountable, agile, fast-paced and data-driven environment.
This position will be based in the remote US.
In this role, you will:

Be a proven leader that can effectively coach and lead the global K4B SMB customer-facing team to meet and exceed objectives and key results

Uncover opportunities, measure product performance and help drive strategy forward

Built, grow and manage a portfolio of SMB segment clients

Lead, grow and manage team of sales and account management staff

Leverage data to optimize customer performance, drive revenue and improve user experience
-
Develop strong relationships internally and externally and work cross-functionally with the KAYAK commercia, product, marketing and engineering teams

Monitor the competitive landscape, identify K4B SMB weaknesses and implement plan to close gaps

5+ years of business development experience in corporate travel industry, ideally focused on SMB segment working for a travel agency

Strong business development and problem-solving skills coupled with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves”

Ability to focus on key priorities while managing multiple projects

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this remote United States based role is $170,000-$190,000.
In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: annual cash bonus, equity grant; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
