Commercial Manager Colombia


The Position
We are currently seeking for a Commercial Manager who will be at the center of our growing strategy in Colombia, focusing on business development and ad sales. 

This position will be remotely based in Bogota. The Commercial Manager will report to and be supported by the Sr. Regional Manager, Colombia and Other LatinAmerica, who holds a multi-market responsibility.

  • Strengthen business relationships with partners in flight, hotel, car rental and other lines of business.

  • Coordinate new business deals (performance and branding) and evaluation of existing deals in conjunction with the Regional Manager

  • Effectively manage its own sales pipeline from the prospecting phase to the closing, bringing new advertisers to the company.     

  • Develop a commercial strategy for long-term sustained success

  • Aggressively reaching out to prospective advertisers

  • Conduct calls and in person meetings

  • Create proposals and presentations

  • Clearly communicate progress of campaigns to clients and internal stakeholders 

  • Manage all aspects of commercial campaigns from the launch, progression, closing and upselling. 

  • Work closely with the account management team to build and maintain successful relationships with clients, including ongoing consultation and support. 

  • Drive implementation of client plans across multiple teams and products.

  • Identify gaps & maximize existing relationships in terms of revenue generation.

  • Check localization issues and optimization of the local KAYAK site and work with our central IT, quality management and marketing departments, to provide the best user experience possible

  • Work along with the regional Commercial and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for the Colombian market



  • At least 5 years of relevant experience commercializing digital products and Ad Sales. (Travel industry experience is a plus). Relevant experience in online industry. Proven knowledge of online marketing metrics and tracking. Solid understanding of the online media industry (SEM, Display, Programmatic, Google Analytics, etc)

  • Deep knowledge of Colombian online environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill is a must (Advanced Excel is a plus)

  • Native Spanish speaker & English fluency (verbal and written) 

  • Knowledge of commercial and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage complex, multi-faceted relationships

  • Self-starter and ability to work independently and remotely

  • Proven track record of exceeding expectations through superior account management

  • Target driven and proven self-starter with ability to deliver on targets results

  • Ability to manage projects of varying size and scope simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately

  • Ability to effectively liaison with KAYAK stakeholders

  • Good sense of humor. We are looking for an individual that likes working in an unstructured, fast paced environment

  • BA/BS degree required, graduate degree preferred
