The People Operations team at KAYAK | OpenTable is all about improving the employee experience while always considering efficiency and scalability. As an HR System and Operations Analyst, you’ll act as the connection point for all employee services and promote new ways of approaching HR core work. Purpose of the Role: 

The role will be accountable for developing the regional standard processes based on the global processes and local requirements  for HR operations that would be used by People teams around the EMEA Region, creating simple and effective capabilities for HR. The incumbent will partner closely with the functional experts team to build out the details for the regional standard processes and enable these through HR technology and also operationalize these new processes 

In this role, you’ll work on a team of HR Coordinators from around the world to support Recruiters and HR Business Partners, while being the front door to service for our employees. If you are highly organized, great at working with people, and ready to learn, let’s talk!

In this role you will:

  • Engage new hires, coordinating all the elements of their on-boarding and serving as a resource for them and for their manager.

  • Maintain accurate employee records, manage HR transactions in our systems and handle report / data requests.

  • Provide a speedy and efficient response to all day to day / first line HR and benefits queries from employees.

  • Process employee changes, terminations, and related processes including communications, notifications, filing and HR systems updates.

  • Work proactively with HR Coordinators from different locations to ensure an integrated and global approach to HR service delivery.

  • Support maternity / paternity leave administration.

  • Assist with activities related to payroll and benefits administration.

  • Be an internal champion for our employees; Escalating issues as appropriate and collaborating with other teams to address their needs and concerns.

  • Proactively works with different Regional stakeholders on any operational issues that may arise

  • Ensure new and/or revised regional processes and standard operating procedures are well understood, trained, and implemented at Kayak and Opentable

  • Manages periodic internal process audits and assessments of the control environment when needed

  • Provide analytics and reporting about people to all company stakeholders

  • Assist the Global Operations Manager in building the the smoothest HR processes in the HRIS system

  • Provide support to employees over the solution: training material, user assistance, bug fixing 

You have:

  • Experience working as a HR Administrator or experience of a graduate placement specializing in HR.

  • 2 Years of Experience with HR technology, specifically Workday, and Microsoft Office products.

  • Knowledge of current employment legislation; Specifically, in Germany and Switzerland.

  • A continuous focus on improving the customer experience.

  • An interest in asking questions to clarify or confirm key information.

  • A strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.

  • Strong German language skills. Both spoken and written.

  • The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with employees at all levels of the organization. 

  • The ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential information appropriately. 

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
