Job Summary: 

iHerb is searching for a highly experienced and strategic Sr. Global Social Media Manager to reimagine our global social media strategy and social shopping capabilities. This role will involve developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our business goals, managing campaign planning and execution, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create engaging content. The ideal candidate will have a strong social media management content creation background, a deep understanding of the health and wellness industry, and the ability to manage relationships with agencies and partners. The position reports to the Director, Marketing Operations & Brand Partnerships.

Job Expectations:

  • Develop and Implement Strategy: Design and execute iHerb’s global social media strategy to align with overall business objectives
  • Campaign Planning & Content Calendar: Own and manage the social media campaign planning, content calendar, and platform-specific activities to ensure timely and effective execution
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with international teams at iHerb to design and execute market-specific campaigns, partner with the Creative and Video production team to produce social media video content and work closely with our Marketplace team to accelerate TikTok and Meta shopping growth
  • Content Development: Partner with the Creative Director, Influencer Marketing Manager, Content Strategist, Videographer and Social Commerce team to develop engaging and educational content for our social media channels
  • Agency & Partner Management: Manage relationships with our domestic and international agencies to ensure seamless execution and alignment with our brand strategy
  • Community Management: Engage with followers, proactively engage with other social media accounts and respond to queries in collaboration with the Customer Experience team
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure brand messaging is consistent across all social media channels
  • Emerging Tools & Trends: Evaluate emerging social media tools for potential incorporation into iHerb’s strategies and stay up-to-date with social media trends and platforms
  • Team Leadership: Build out a team of social media experts
  • Internal Advocacy: Serve as internal champion for social media, advising on policy matters and ensuring employee practices align with guidelines
  • Industry Trends: Stay informed about health and wellness industry trends and customer feedback to continually refine our social media approach

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of social monitoring and reporting tools space, such as Meta Business Manager, Sprout Social, and Bazaarvoice
  • Experience managing content across all major social channels including Facebook, Instagram, X, Youtube, Tiktok and Pinterest
  • Ability to self-deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proofreading abilities
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment

Equipment Knowledge:

  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
  • Advanced of knowledge of Google products, Google Drive and project management tools such as Asana

Experience Requirements:

  • Generally requires a minimum of 7-10 years' experience, preferably in a mid-to-large scale eCommerce company or marketing agency managing similar-sized campaigns
  • Must be able to provide a digital portfolio of past social media campaign examples

Education Requirements: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work.  The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.  iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
