Fresh Prints is an NYC-based custom apparel startup. We find incredible students and give them the working capital, training, and support to build the business at their schools. We have 400+ students who will do $40+ million in sales over the next 12 months.

You’d be one of our engineers on the Growth Team, who is well-versed in maintaining our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. You’ll work with our Quality Engineers and Architects to understand our requirements, develop solutions, and ensure we deploy high-performance and scalable products. You will be responsible for ensuring that our infrastructure scales efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management:
- Designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
- Ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure systems.
- Implementing and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure optimal performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Managing data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Automation and Configuration Management:
- Developing and maintaining infrastructure automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to streamline deployment and configuration processes.
- Creating and managing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery and infrastructure changes.
- Automating routine tasks and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- DevOps Collaboration:
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure smooth integration of software applications with the infrastructure.
- Participating in the software development lifecycle to provide infrastructure-related insights, guidance, and support.
- Working with developers to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Promoting a DevOps culture and advocating for best practices, such as version control, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Monitoring infrastructure systems for performance issues, errors, and anomalies.
- Investigating and resolving incidents, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
- Conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implement preventive measures.
- Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams or customers on infrastructure-related matters.
- Research and Evaluation:
- Staying updated with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in infrastructure management and DevOps.
- Evaluating and recommending new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conducting performance testing, capacity planning, and resource utilization analysis to optimize infrastructure systems.
Must-Have Skills:
- Worked as infra or DevOps engineer with 3+ years of experience
- 2+ years of on experience working on AWS
- Hands-on experience in working with web services, databases, and web frameworks
- Hands-on with AWS, CI/CD, Docker, GIT
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with programming languages and frameworks, such as Javascript, Java, Ruby, or Go, can also be advantageous.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI is valuable.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as newrelic, Datadg, Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus, as well as log aggregation tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Splunk, is important for maintaining system health, troubleshooting issues, and detecting anomalies.
- Knowledge of Agile and SCRUM
- Decision-making on Approach and Architecture
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
