Factorial is looking for Engineer – Sulfide-based Solid State Batteries Development to join the team in Woburn, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will focus on solid state battery development with sulfide solid electrolyte. This position requires an experience of dry electrode processing, cell design, pouch, or prismatic cell fabrication, and scale up process. Candidates are preferred to have industrial experience with solid state battery development. The role will entail independent design and execution of experiments, data analysis, knowledge about fabrication process.
PhD/MS degree in Mechanics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
Significant plus for dry electrode process experience in industry
Significant plus for Pouch or prismatic cell level testing and evaluation with solid state battery
Willingness to execute on multiple tasks in a fast-paced start-up environment
Ability to work within project teams with dedication and technical excellence
Specific Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:
Experience with dry electrode process is a strong plus
Direct experience or understanding of techniques to develop solid-state cell experience plus
Experience with Knowledge of cell design/evaluation/production process is strong plus
Provide solution for both practical and fundamental issues
Maintain compliance with all company protocols related to confidentiality, assignment of inventions, and other policies or duties as identified and assigned
