Your role in achieving this will be as our IP Counsel
Responsibilities:
• Harvest inventions and file and prosecute patents and trademarks
• Protect our company by safeguarding our intellectual property, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and managing disputes.
• Partner with our product and technology teams to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
• Educate our team members about key legal and regulatory matters that impact them.
• Facilitate ethical decision-making consistent with our values.
• Provide flexible and varied legal support to a dynamic and fast-growing organization.
• Supervise internal and external resources
• Work in-person at our facilities, reporting to the General Counsel.
Qualifications:
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the patent bar
• Admitted to the Massachusetts bar or eligible to register as in-house counsel
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including with a law firm or in-house legal department
• Technical background in a relevant field strongly preferred (e.g., chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science)
• Technical experience with batteries a plus
