Position Overview
Ebury is looking to hire a Commercial Analyst to be based in our Amsterdam offices, working with our front office teams.
You will join the Sales Acceleration team and help to develop innovative, data-driven processes, tools and dashboards that support the commercial team in growing revenues and improving the client experience.
You will work closely with local leadership, leverage data analytics tools, and contribute to the development and execution of sales acceleration initiatives.
We are looking for a candidate that is comfortable with data and logical thinking, but crucially, is also able to summarise and communicate complex ideas to strong and outgoing personalities with confidence.
You will have to deliver key projects across but not limited to;
Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with the commercial leadership to drive insights on team performance and revenue strategy by providing critical analyses
- Supporting the expansion of Ebury’s data toolkit: transforming our data and sharing insights to commercial leadership on revenue generation, product utilisation, credit offering, front office activity + performance management and more
- Sales Analytics: Collect, analyse, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track sales performance and provide actionable insights to sales leadership for Netherlands and Germany (with potential for expansion)
- Sales Process Optimisation: Collaborate with the sales team to assess and enhance existing sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, pipeline management, and forecasting. Identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Sales Enablement: Support the development and implementation of sales enablement programs, ensuring sales representatives have the necessary tools and resources to effectively engage with prospects and close deals
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations on Front Office performance, pipeline metrics, and revenue forecasts. Analyse data to identify opportunities for revenue growth, customer segmentation, and cross- selling/up-selling initiatives
- CRM Management: Maintain and optimise the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer and sales data. Provide training and support to the sales team on CRM usage and best practices
- Process Automation: Identify opportunities for sales process automation and collaborate with the technology team to implement appropriate tools and systems. Streamline workflows and eliminate manual tasks to improve sales team productivity
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs. Provide insights to the sales team for better targeting, positioning, and differentiation
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and finance, to align sales acceleration initiatives with overall business objectives. Collaborate with sales managers to ensure effective implementation and adoption of sales strategies
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
- Multilingual with fluency in Dutch, English and French is a requirement
- Proven experience as a sales analyst or a similar role, preferably within the financial services industry
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, Salesforce, SQL or similar CRM systems
- Solid understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and lead-to- revenue lifecycle
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities being able to deliver actionable insights
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
