What you'll do / Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy
    • Responsible for building up strategic and competitive position of Dtto product in Japan market from scratch
    • As the primary driver for identifying significant opportunities, and driving Dtto product vision, strategies and roadmaps in Japan market
    • Responsible for growing user and traffic of Dtto product in Japan market
  • User Insight
    • Identify key insights by using analytic tools to analyze user data and turn the insights into feasible execution plan
    • Study internal and external information to identify insights and turn the insights into feasible execution plan
    • Conduct surveys and user interviews to understand the needs of users
    • Plan new features or optimize existing features from perspective of users’ needs
  • Influencing People
    • Leads and motivates a team of engineers and drives smooth team operation
    • Work with operation team (marketing, community, social media, etc) to deliver the best impact of product to users
    • Work with data team in tracking, data analysis, and deduce the key metrics for measuring performance
    • Work with designer in delivering UI design which fits the user’s behavior the best
    • Actively communicate with BU head and CEO on product planning, execution and decision
  • Product Execution
    • Formulate strategy of new feature launch and monitor data performance after launch
    • Set up product spec and delivery procedures, define clear execution plan and test cases for each stage
    • Plan A/B/n testing and set appropriate key metrics to review performance

Qualifications

  • Experience
    • Lived in Japan for more than 2 years
    • At least 3 years experience in formulating product vision and competitive advantage
    • At least 3 years growth hacking experience in app or online service with significant results
    • Experience in leading product team to launch important projects from scratch
    • Project management experience, thorough understanding of various project management tools
  • Mindset
    • Strategic mindset in building up competitive advantage and strategy positioning of Dtto in Japan
    • Able to think from a user’s perspective and build Dtto into a product that could connect different users
    • Able to analyze issues in a logical way and deduce possible reasons behind the issue
  • Skills
    • Native Japanese
    • Business level English
    • Multi-tasking and able to arrange tasks according to priority
    • Strong in setting up working procedures
    • Sensitive to user data and have excellent analytic skills
    • Language
  • Soft skills
    • Excellent communication skills to work with different departments and stakeholders
    • Strong leadership skills in motivating the team of engineers
  • Background
    • Social media / app industry preferred
