About the role:

dbt Labs is expanding its partnerships team and we are looking for the first dedicated role managing strategic alliances in EMEA. This role is a critical component to our EMEA go to market strategy and one that will help continue to accelerate the tremendous adoption we have seen across this market. This role partners directly with EMEA and Alliances team leadership and requires the type of person who can think strategically across a complex region while also jumping in and executing the plan when necessary. This is a senior level individual contributor role, with an opportunity for leadership of a team as our presence in EMEA grows. UK or Ireland-based candidates preferred.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Strengthen and expand dbt Labs's relationship with the industry leaders in the data analytics ecosystem in EMEA. Specifically, this will include leading our relationships with Snowflake, Databricks, the Cloud providers, and a small number of key GSIs. 
  • Be the face of dbt Labs to strategic partners in EMEA.
  • Develop and execute strategies that enable co-selling motions with partners
  • Have a high level of visibility with executives both within dbt Labs and at partner organizations.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Field Engineering on various go-to-market initiatives.

You are a good fit if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in partner management, business development, partner channel sales or a strategic sales role
  • Demonstrated success scaling technology and/or GSI partnerships from early stages to revenue impact
  • Successfully developed and scaled execution of partner sales plays, particularly in the data analytics and data infrastructure ecosystems
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and a rapidly changing business environment
  • The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and business teams across a range of seniority
  • Exceptionally strong writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and simply articulate strategies and build trust up, down, and across the organization.

You'll have an edge if:

  • You have prior experience within or with one of our key partners in the region. 
  • Have owned a pipeline or revenue target and can speak to your triumphs and challenges achieving that target
  • Experience structuring and negotiating bespoke partnership deals
  • You have hands-on experience in data analytics or data engineering.
  • Experience managing a team or dotted line management
