We are looking for an innovative and hands-on Data Scientist to join our effort for helping our members to achieve their financial goals with most relevant financial products and actionable financial recommendations.

What you'll do:

  • Provide technical leadership for the hyper-growth Data Science team for the next few years

  • Partner with colleagues throughout the organisation to identify high-impact opportunities to leverage our extensive data to better serve our users in Personal Finance                          

  • Be responsible for accelerating revenue advancement through disruptive and continuous improvements in various data science models (targeting, approval odds, marketing campaigns, etc.), feature engineering including user profiles and behaviour, personalisation, etc.                         

  • Lead our industry-first data science / machine learning platform for financial institutions, to enable certainty of approval for our members

  • Participate in research efforts with other team members to explore the frontiers of Deep Learning, Recommender systems, Financial Assistant, and other areas, as they apply to Personal Finance

What we are looking for:

  • Advanced Degree (MS) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a related quantitative discipline
                                                         
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning and related areas, ideally in hyper-growth consumer Internet scenarios
                                                         
  • Experience and deep understanding of a variety of machine learning techniques, including but not limited to, deep learning, tree-based models, collaborative filtering, matrix factorisation, time series analysis, mixed-effects models
                                                     
  • Solid understanding of the statistical foundations of machine learning, and a strong interest in understanding feedback loops in decision making machine learning systems, explore/exploit scenarios, causal and long term effects
                   
  • Solid grip on the practical tradeoffs of applying machine learning models to systems making tens of billions of predictions each day

What we would like to see:

  • Experience with Finance data (credit record data, loan underwriting)                           

  • Ambitious, results oriented, hardworking and creative thinker

  • Authoritative knowledge of Python/R and SQL, as well as ML systems such as TensorFlow, Torch, etc.

     

  • Hands-on experience with recommender systems, search ranking, and online experimentation

     

  • Experience in optimising business outcomes in hyper-growth Internet companies (predictive science, ad yield management, marketplaces, etc.)
