ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The Fuel IMV Digital Advertising Director is responsible for overseeing the daily strategic needs of the Fuel Media Team planning, buying, executing and optimizing Fuel in-market campaigns. You will be the direct manager of a team of associates, specialists, and supervisors, and will support them across a strong mix of solutions including: audience planning and media buying of video ads across various programmatic and social platforms (e.g. the Trade Desk, YouTube, Facebook, Amazon Fire TV). Emphasis on audience data usage across digital media platforms. This position includes 75% strategic development, employee coaching and training, budget allocation/pacing, client communication, and 25% hands-on research, implementation, optimization, and reporting on campaigns. Looking for an individual with managerial experience as a team leader, who can work seamlessly with in-house and client teams, has automotive digital media knowledge, is experienced across multiple media platforms, and familiar with multiple data source providers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategic planning across multiple platforms and data partners
  • Direct supervisor of team: Associates, Specialists, and Supervisors
  • Keep projects on schedule, responsible for management of time and budget
  • Provide ongoing training to media team, maintain detailed knowledge on all new products, digital offerings and trends
  • Assist the FUEL IMV leadership team with forecasting and business growth
  • Analysis of campaign data and reporting for ongoing recommendations
  • Identify opportunities for scale and improvement, solve for team issues, and create tactical roadmap to ensure execution
  • Responsible for digital advertising & auction-based placements
  • Contribute to data integration efforts within Cars Inc. across platforms, data providers and attribution partners
  • Manage and implement audience data usage and recommend in-market shopper options
  • Close collaboration with Fuel Retention and Performance team members, Product and Technology team members and Operations for insights and optimization recommendations, supporting Fuel long-term goals
  • Track and report on budget spending and ROI
  • Work closely with DSP/platform support teams to troubleshoot and improve campaign performance
  • Actively participate and comfortable with client presentations, able to clearly communicate Fuel benefits
  • Work closely with automotive industry data distributors and direct 1PD/3PD sources
  • Identify and propose areas of opportunity to test and expand digital advertising business for current clients
  • Inspire media team members to grow their talents and skills, and acts as a role model in their development
  • Ensure implementation of best practice guidelines and follow company processes
  • Demonstrate expert product/platform knowledge
  • Demonstrate strong judgment and autonomous strategy decisions & critical thinking
  • Demonstrate ability to leverage KPIs to interpret results and make data-based decisions
  • Empathetic & actionable communication to team members, clients, and vendors in high-pressure situations
  • Exhibit a deeper understanding of the big picture of Cars Inc. (ie. how we work with other departments, and our capabilities)
  • Understand and take action on quarterly OKR initiatives as it relates to the role

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience
  • Understanding the inner workings of analytics, ad tagging, digital advertising and audience data planning
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel
  • Be extremely accountable and resourceful
  • Ability to speak with clients
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
  • Willingness to learn

Compensation:
