Your role:
If you’re an experienced Android Engineer looking for a Tech Lead type role within a 100% remote team, you’ve come to the right place!
Cars.com helps tens of millions of people like you and me find their perfect car match each year, with our 4.7 star rated Android app being a critical part of our strategy. We’re looking for an Android Engineer with 5+ years of experience to serve as a tech lead for our Android engineering team. This role has a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity: You will be working with junior and senior engineers as well as cross functional stakeholders in product, design, and data to take projects from idea to done. This means collaborating through the discovery process to arrive at a technical solution, working to execute upon that solution, and shipping that solution to millions of users.
Your sphere of influence doesn’t stop there. You will personally be able to make your mark on how our Android engineering organization evolves from a technical perspective. Passionate and opinionated about things like new and emerging technologies, automation, and experimentation? You’ll be able to help define the what and the how around Android engineering for our organization, and with that, be able to shape how millions of people shop for their next car on Android.

- Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, GraphQL, CircleCI, GitHub
You bring:
- 5+ years of Android engineering professional experience.
- Experience acting as a tech lead within a 100% remote environment.
- Excitement when given broad agency and responsibility in creating and effecting solutions to abstract mobile engineering questions.
