What is the Temporary 8th Grade Algebra Teacher Role?
As a 8th grade algebra teacher at Brooke, you set the tone for growth, learning, and teamwork. It’s for our kids; nothing less than the best will do when you’re helping students succeed.
You create a classroom environment that fosters students’ awareness and appreciation of the role of advanced mathematics in everyday life. You are the leader of your classroom and build strong relationships with students in order to push them to be their best selves both academically and personally. You think deeply about math instruction and guide students through the process of discovering math principles for themselves. You crave feedback, think deeply about instruction, and collaborate with colleagues in order to meet the needs of every student.
This role includes teaching two sections of algebra as well as math review and one-on-one and small group conferencing with approximately 22 students. The hours are 7:45 am - 4:00 pm daily.
The role will run from the first week of March through mid-May.
