The Technical Buyer is part of Breeze’s Technical Supply Chain organization. Responsible for representing the company in business transactions with internal and external organizations. This position manages the procure-to-pay cycle of buying aircraft and engine components, reduces Total Cost of Ownership and helps improve supplier performance to help Breeze achieve a low CASM.
Here’s what you’ll do
Responsible for managing the end-to-end procure-to-pay cycle of aircraft component and powerplant assembly including but not limited to
Supplier selection
Price and lead time negotiations
Order placement
Order change management
Expediting and Supplier delivery performance
Resolving receiving discrepancies
Timely payment of invoices
Participates in the development and creation of policies, procedures, and process improvements
Apply purchasing policies, corporate policies, and Sarbanes-Oxley controls (SOX) to ensure company compliance, accuracy and, reliability of corporate financial reporting statements
Measures and tracks supplier performance, holds the supplier accountable to their contractual obligations, conducts quarterly review meetings, resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
Run daily/weekly/monthly calls with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support order fulfillment and payment processes.
Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop cost savings initiatives to reduce Breeze CASM
Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
Here’s what you need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications
4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field and/or equivalent experience/training
Preferred Qualifications
Previous supply chain experience in the aviation/airline sector
Familiarity with Power BI, SQL
