Position Summary

Breeze is looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to create easy and memorable travel experiences for our Guests and Team Members through our app, website, and internal tools. They thoughtfully use analytics data, experimentation platforms, first-party research, and our user testing tools to continually improve the experience of our interactions. This person will have a key role in shaping the implementation and extension of our new design system and will work in close cooperation with our technology and marketing teams.

Essential Functions

  • Place our Guests and Team Members at the heart of our interface and experience design
  • Partner with Product Managers and Software Engineers to guide our user experience
  • Recognize and pay attention to details that shape the air travel experience
  • Translate ideas into the creation of user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and final designs
  • Maintain understanding of different devices, their operating systems, and interfaces
  • Establish and maintain our design system in Figma, with an emphasis on components
  • Incorporate UI/UX best practices when creating designs and adapt designs for responsive formats upon delivery
  • Contribute to ongoing user testing and user experience research, including field research trips traveling with our Guests
  • Keep abreast of new developments/technology that could be utilized by the organization to retain its competitive advantage
  • Maintain brand and design system integrity throughout the development process
  • Enforce the practice of image optimization for production ready assets
  • Identify design inconsistencies and errors, then recommend fixes and improvements
  • Oversee vendor relationships for supplemental design work, as needed
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
  • Other duties as assigned by the Information Systems Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in UI/UX, graphic, or multimedia design or a combination of education and relevant work experience totalling 4+ years
  • 5+ years UI/UX design experience
  • Strong portfolio of past work
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and collaborate with other designers, product managers, and developers to ensure delivery of the best possible experience
  • Ability to design UI flow and layout according to the needs of all stakeholders
  • Proficient with Figma and Adobe tools
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
  • Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in startups or other fast-paced environments
  • Passion for travel
