Position Summary

Based in United Kingdom, the Project Manager for Financial Messaging will work within a collaborative and international team, focusing primarily on our largest high value customers (HVC’s) in London. This individual leads from the front and drives results from their team to delight our customers.  In this role, the individual is involved in the management of customer obligations and interactions with our sales, product, service delivery, revenue, and best-practice functions for assigned high-value-customers (HVC).  

This is a key on-boarding customer-facing role in the overall Global Services organization requiring experience and insights to project management, process management, product capabilities, and efficiency in work-flow processes to accelerate time-to-value for our customers.   This leader leverages a collaborative style to affect work results and continuous improvement techniques to advance the work process and team knowledge.  The culture desired is one of candor and high-performance without tolerance for substandard work results. 

The Associate Project Manager will interact and communicate externally with the customer executive and senior operational management and along with this same interaction up and across the Bottomline organizations for sales, product, development, SaaS operations, Information Security, customer support, legal, and FP&A.  This role is the expert in the Bottomline internal business processes for each of the above functions to ensure proper input from the customer project and to assure visibility within the functional organization.  Escalations from the customer project(s) leverage the Bottomline processes while supported by both written and verbal communications to assure shortest resolution to questions and or issues from any project. 

How you will contribute:

  • Lead and manage multiple Client change requests/small to medium size projects throughout the entire project-life cycle
  • Be a primary point of contact between client and Bottomline.
  • Plan and track project milestones during all change/project phases.
  • Oversight & full accountability for all customer changes/projects completed on-time and within budget
  • Identify project/change risks and raise them with appropriate stakeholders
  • Provide customer delight through high quality, predictable, and valuable consulting / professional services and day-to-day interactions with the customer program and organizational leadership
  • Establishes, develops and maintains customer contacts and working relationships with customers
  • Liaise between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated
  • Proactive and frequent communication of progress, at project level, internally as well as with customer
  • Occasional travel may be required

 

What will make you successful:

  • Experience working in and understanding of the Financial Messaging and Banking industry is desired
  • Experience with international customer-facing interactions
  • Experience working with Agile Sprint methodology
  • BA/BS degree in relevant field, 2+ years direct project management experience; 2+ years technology deployment experience with software solutions
  • Must be able to interact with customers and partners
  • Project management methodologies and tools know-how
  • Strong technical background and experience, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong in time management and risk management
  • Excellence in driving results in a matrix-structured organization
  • Excited and eager to learn about new technologies and SaaS-based services
  • PMP certification, or similar, a plus
  • Prior interaction with Atlassian (JIRA and Confluence) and Salesforce as issue tracking and CRM (SalesForce) tools a plus
