As a Business Development Manager in the New Business Team, you will be responsible for creating, developing and nurturing a sales pipeline that leads to new business opportunities for our Secure Payments and Cash Management business. You should have experience in B2B SaaS sales with success in selling financial software to midsized and enterprise corporations. A strong working knowledge of business payments and cash management is highly desirable but not required.  We are looking for a highly motivated individual who finds ways to win by activity, skill and determination with a willingness and interest in learning and growing!

How you’ll contribute:

 

  • Consistently achieve monthly sales targets
  • Sell Bottomline products in a highly professional and ethical manner
  • Work with the Sales Director to deliver results against sales and growth targets.
  • Responsible for generating a sales pipeline of opportunities and progressing opportunities through the sales process to booking
  • Working with your team members to instil a fantastic team spirit and ‘can-do’
  • Create and manage target call lists and execute on prospecting KPIs
  • Manage sales nurture campaigns to progress opportunities through the sales process
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any matters specific to your customers throughout the sales cycle, including onsite (as necessary) and remote presentations
  • Maintains sales operational requirements including documentation in SF.com and internal communications to senior management and other teams in accordance with best practices for forecasting and tracks key sales metrics
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain accurate information relating to sales related to sales account details and activities within the company’s database
  • Participates in tradeshows and industry events as needed, with the ability to travel based on client and team needs.

 

 

What will make you successful:

 

  • Experience selling SaaS solutions to senior executives and corporate finance such as the CFO, Treasurer, Controller and Accounts Payable.
  • Demonstrated success at networking, setting appointments, pipeline building, negotiation, and closing sales to meet and exceed quota.
  • Creativity to develop and execute prospecting plans that yield high value meetings on a consistent basis.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessment and discovery through high-value questions, listening skills, and collaboration with clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cash management, treasury and corporate payments is desired.
  • Competitive, with the ability to aggressively achieve set goals and win new business.
  • Ability to build trusted working relationships at various levels within a client’s organization, and can differentiate the payment network solution against competitors and complimentary solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
