Assistant Manager - Finance

The Role

The Assistant Manager - Finance is a vital role within the Blenheim Chalcot portfolio. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and progressive environment, where you will support us in building our next generation of GenAI enabled tech businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting:

  • Oversee the timely and accurate recording of accounting entries to support timely reporting and forecasting.
  • Review the work of associates to ensure accuracy and consistency in accounting processes.
  • Understand and manage accounting in foreign currency transactions.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP and relevant tax regulations, including TDS and GST.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports to regulatory bodies.

Banking:

  • Manage banking relationships to ensure smooth functioning of payments, receipts, and other banking transactions, including foreign remittances.

Vendor and Client Management:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for vendor and client inquiries.
  • Manage vendor payments and client collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Financial Review:

  • Conduct regular reviews of accounts to identify and address any discrepancies or issues.

Audit and Reporting:

  • Assist in internal and statutory audits.
  • Prepare and analyze various financial reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

About you

As an Assistant Manager - Finance, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's financial operations. You will be responsible for managing accounting processes, ensuring compliance with local GAAP, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 7-8 years of work experience in core accounting and compliance, with a strong understanding of processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho, Xero, Keka, or similar tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of local GAAP and tax regulations, particularly TDS and GST.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience in the IT services industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
