Essential Job Duties
The Customer Education team empowers customers to grow from good to great and reach their strategic outcomes by teaching them how to successfully adopt and operationalize BambooHR. We do this by focusing on user experience, scalability, and driving outcomes. We develop content that addresses these needs through different learning modalities including: webinars, workshops, eLearning courses, videos, downloadable graphics, and reference guides.
Education Specialist, you’ll create eLearning courses, video tutorials, reference guides, and host/develop webinars, ensuring all assets created align with the BambooHR brand and meet customer needs. Your day involves scripting, recording, editing content, compiling information into courses, and collaborating with teams like Product and Marketing to support new features and initiatives. You’ll manage projects and analyze content performance to make improvements. The role also emphasizes personal development, providing opportunities to refine skills and explore new tools to improve customer education.
You will:
- Delivering clear, actionable content that helps customers achieve their goals.
- Research, script, design, and present new webinars and workshops (this includes being comfortable on-camera)
- Develop new elearning courses
- Record, edit, and create video content
- Write customer-facing macros and emails to drive participation learning content
- Drive projects and meet deadlines
- Work cross-functionally with everyone in Customer Experience, Product, Product Marketing, and Customer Marketing
- Represent Customer Education as member of product councils
- Manage projects, including projects not directly related to LMS/Webinars
- For example, develop content based on requests from other business needs, including toolkits, multimedia educational strategies, and other deliverables
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, instructional design, or comparable education/experience and/or 3+ years in a training and enablement role.
- Tech Savy- Experience with video editing software such as Camtasia or ScreenFlow, with the ability to learn additional tools as needed. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is a valuable bonus, but not necessary.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering engaging adult learning experiences, including expertise in short-form learning content such as microlearning modules, video tutorials, and interactive guides.
- Engaging presentation skills both on and off camera with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines..
- Experience with course authoring tools, such as Articulate 360, or the ability to quickly learn new tools.
- Experience with graphic design tools such as canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Excellent brand voice and ability to follow a style guide.
- Ability to research, script, design, and/or present on a variety of topics, including product-specific and strategy-level presentations.
- Understanding and application of principles for creating effective live and online training.
