Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check. 

Essential Job Duties

As an Outbound Account Executive (AE) at BambooHR, you will be responsible for driving account acquisition by targeting accounts and working with your BDR to generate enough pipeline to hit your quota and cultivating relationships with all pertinent stakeholders within target accounts. Your goal will be to maximize sales into new accounts and become part of the customers' long-term business solution. You will identify customer needs and configure appropriate offerings from our services to meet those needs.

Your daily responsibilities as an Outbound AE at BambooHR will include

  • Expanding the top of the funnel by complementing centralized marketing campaigns with your own prospecting efforts.
  • Developing relationships and alignment across multiple levels, including C-level executives, influencers, and relevant personas.
  • Driving sales execution by using BambooHR's sales process to close large-scale, multi-year servicing contracts.
  • Preparing accurate forecasts, building a pipeline to cover bookings targets, and thoroughly documenting notes and activities in the CRM tool.
  • Ability to prioritize your day to effectively use your time. 
  • Selling with a customer focus by diagnosing each account's business plan and existing contractual agreements for services.
  • Demonstrating product proficiency with a working knowledge across BambooHR's service lines.
  • BDRs will bring you opportunities to speak with prospects and you will be responsible for moving them from latent to active need by creating value
  • Setting the stage for long term success of BambooHRs customers by providing a clear and smooth handoff to the post-sales teams including future opportunities for growth. 

What You'll Need to Get the Job Done

  • A minimum of 5 years of quota-carrying sales experience.
  • 1-2 years' outbound sales experience that includes prospecting experience identifying and qualifying sales opportunities while articulating product value propositions via phone and email.
  • Demonstrated experience taking the sales process successfully from early stage prospect and through to close.
  • A track record of tenacity and driving results with a sense of urgency.
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships based on best practices and strategy.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work with and indirectly manage sales support colleagues.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Highly professional and excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure in success in speaking to all levels of an organization. 
  • You must be coachable!  We will provide you with many opportunities to grow your sales skills, but it’s up to you to incorporate them into your day to day.  
  • Strong active listening skills to effectively discover a customer’s pain points by understanding their challenges and concerns
