Where you fit:
To lead and manage the Account Executive and Business Development team members. As leader of this group, this individual will be responsible for all revenue generating activities, and overall quota attainment for the group. This role will report to the VP of Sales, West.
As leader of this group, the Director will lead a team of account executives (AE) that will focus on install base expansion, cross-selling and upselling as well as a team of business development executives (BDE) to target new business within their territory. The director will coach and train the AE’s and BDE’s on the team and will evaluate their performance against their individual quotas. As a leader, this individual is responsible for pipeline generation via a well-documented territory plan and work closely in the field with the team members, guiding them through the sales cycle, and identifying areas that may need improvement.
Impact you will make in the role:
The Director will focus on selling into both new accounts and Accela customer base with Accela software solutions for specific markets. As leader of this group, the Director will collaborate to work on market, sales and opportunity development with Marketing and Product Marketing Subject Matter Experts. He/she will be expected to work closely in the field with the team members, guiding them through sales strategy, sales cycles, sales activities and effectiveness identifying areas that may need improvement and will evaluate their performance against their individual quotas.
Expertise you will bring in:
- Prior Sales management experience with a proven track record of achieving targets
- 5+ years of experience selling enterprise wide solutions (both software and services) to local government agencies or the private sector
- Industry domain knowledge
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to achieve set goals and deadlines
- Understanding of project delivery and coordination with delivery teams
- Prior RFP response skills
- Ability to travel in excess of 50%
