As a Senior UX Researcher at Zip, you enjoy ambiguity, have strong stakeholder management skills and be involved in both generative and evaluative research.

You’ll be lading our Design Research with our UX Researcher, helping to triage, plan, and QA research. You’ll run research projects, and help on our ResearchOps to empower cross-functional teams to help them run their own design research, interviews and embed into processes.

You’ll work across both our Consumer and Merchant experiences, to ensure that insights from research are translated into strategic and actionable artifacts e.g. Research Reports, Personas, User Journey Maps, Jobs To Be Done, etc.

The role also focuses on managing and coaching your direct report. 

This is a hybrid position including Research, ResearchOps, Service Design/UX and People Management. 

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 7+ years working in UX research (or a combination of research, service / UX design)
  • Demonstrated experience working on evaluative and generative research, across quantitative and qualitative
  • Experience with designing research studies and influencing outcomes using insights
  • Experience with ResearchOps: recruitment, tooling, administrative tasks
  • Experience with Lean UX and where to use lean methodologies for the question e.g. A/B testing, desk research, fake door, etc. 
  • Experience with agile, cross-functional product teams
  • Experience mentoring / coaching / managing
  • Service design / UX skills e.g. customer journey maps, task analysis, service blueprints, UX flows
  • Great collaboration skills
  • Excellent communications skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to plan and time manage own tasks
  • Ability to turn insights into thoughtful narratives
