About the role
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for daily monitoring of transactions and GL entries for revenue and related GL accounts. You will work closely with the Controller to ensure all revenue is accounted accurately, assist with inventory/costs of goods analysis, and support the monthly close accounting process along with the revenue statements and audit requirements.
Play a major role with the monthly revenue recognition and close process
Perform account reconciliations for revenue-related accounts and against payment processing
Analyze inventory activities and calculate the costs of goods sold
Compile reporting on an as needed basis for cross-functional teams such as Finance and Tax
Prepare calculations pertaining to accruals for profit sharing, commission, and other subsidies
Work closely with customers and other departments on revenue billing and related issues
Support the reconciliation of sales tax payable
Assist in improving and streamlining revenue processes
Serve as a key liaison with external auditors on revenue matters
Provide support for the monthly financial statement and annual reporting
3+ years revenue or general accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management preferably in Accounting.
Proficient skills with MS Excel, MS Word, and accounting software; QuickBooks experience preferred
Attention to detail, organized and high level of accuracy
Strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills with the ability to work independently
Good interpersonal skills Proficient written and spoken both English and Mandarin Chinese
