Twist Bioscience is looking for a Communications Generalist. Reporting to the Sr VP, Corporate Affairs, the Communications Generalist will be responsible for and have oversight over drafting, editing, and circulating press releases, media advisories, news and feature articles and a wide variety of other communications materials. You will also be directly responsible for tracking investor meetings. You will work closely with the Sr VP, Corporate Affairs to support and execute on communications strategies for all business areas.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of Public Relations strategy
  • Drafting PR-related content and coordinating submissions in support of a variety of PR programs including editorial opportunities, media pitches, speaking engagements opportunities, contributed articles, editorial, and social media comments, etc
  • Developing relationships with journalists, press, and various media outlets (blogs, tech and business press, online websites, print, events, and broadcast)
  • Produce regular PR analysis reports for executive leadership to identify key insights and recommend actions for improvement
  • Coordinate with wire service, Nasdaq for distribution of press releases
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in communications, public relations, business, or science field
  • 3+ Years of experience in relevant field (blogger, journalist, public relations manager, copywriter, etc)
  • Curiosity for understanding new scientific developments and technology advancements
  • Outstanding written skills and ability to create high-quality content in quick time frame
  • Attention to detail, passion for branding, and ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people and personalities
  • Self-motivated individual with passion for storytelling
  • Tech-savvy and familiarity with online tracking and monitoring tools
