About the Role

We are growing rapidly and are seeking a person to help drive our Deal Desk activities to help support the growth of our sales and commercial teams within the company. This position will be joining the FP&A team and will have an immediate and significant impact on paving the way for a best in class Deal Desk team.  The role will have core responsibilities in helping to improve the Deal Desk function, drive optimizations on structuring and pricing out deals.

Reporting into the FP&A Team, you will have input to and responsibilities for the following:

  • Improving our day to day Deal Desk processes and systems, including driving deal analysis automation in Anaplan
  • Creative problem solving on a deal by deal basis with the goal of tying out customer needs with company priorities
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with the key stakeholders in Sales, Legal, Finance & Accounting to effectively drive cross functional projects with these teams
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and cross functional partnering on new deal structures for product launches, channel development and other new use cases as they arise
  • Building relationships and trust across a global sales organization
  • Ensure adherence to and be a gatekeeper for standard pricing & discounting processes put in place, as well as driving the Deal Desk approvals process for non-standard deals, including documentation & escalation paths, all while delivering within a reasonable SLA
  • Represent the finance organization in reviewing non-standard deals, pricing & commercial strategies for our sales organization and our customers
  • Be an internal business adviser on contract negotiations & term proposals including deal structure and discounting guidance
  • Assist with analytics and impact assessment for pricing & discounting strategies for new products, markets & channels as we grow our commercial business

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Business, Economics, Math or Engineering undergrad majors preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a related or similar role in a high growth professional organization
  • Self-starter, ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business & sales models 
  • Prior experience working and partnering with a rapidly-growing sales organization highly desired
  • Strong business partnering and relationship building skills
  • Strong Excel modeling skills & SFDC experience required; hands-on knowledge strongly preferred on Anaplan & experience on a Deal Desk automated solution a bonus
