As our VP of Network, you will plan and implement products and processes that serve our global network. In collaboration with our Engineering, Operations, Leadership teams and Accelerator programs, you will lead support efforts for founders, mentors, and other network members to develop resources and programs to support and expedite success of our portfolio companies. Providing strategy and management for the Network Team, you will directly impact the long-term relationship and connection between Techstars and our global network.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain an exhaustive mapping of founder and mentorship needs based on new expansion strategy and program requirements, develop strategies to meet their demands, work with the necessary departments to implement the latest technology, and monitor progress
  • Project manage the planning and execution of products that serve the global network.
  • Collaborate with Techstars Managing Directors and product managers to ensure Network Team product adoption.
  • Manage the operational needs of the Network Team, including but not limited to execution of strategic goals, department budgeting, team leadership (6 FTE), and project management of team goals and initiatives
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with the Techstars network, including alumni founders and mentors (in particular around gender/racial diversity and specific practices and industries).
  • Strengthen our recruiting, onboarding and training of mentors to ensure that we have the best possible mentors for our portfolio companies.
  • Foster mobility of mentors, so that they can contribute to portfolio companies around the world. 
  • Further strengthen the quality/prestige of our mentor network. 
  • Create an experience that is valuable for mentors. 
  • Work with Techstars staff around the globe to develop long-term support initiatives for the global network.
  • Support high value engagement between Techstars and alumni founders.

About you:

  • 6-10 years of experience managing teams, projects and implementing organizational processes.
  • You can drive a product development life cycle
  • The idea of working cross-functionally across Techstars to plan and implement projects to serve our global network excites you.
  • You are familiar with the needs of early to mid-stage startups and understand the value of creating a support structure for portfolio companies
  • You have professional presentation and speaking skills, and are incredibly self-driven and organized.
  • Fit the Techstars’ culture (people-oriented, adaptable, supportive, creative).
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience. 
  • You enjoy learning how to support customers and develop sustainable approaches to networking and relationship building.

Compensation range: $175,000 - $220,000 + 10% Bonus
