SEC and Financial Reporting Manager
Headquarters is in Santa Clara, CA. This is an onsite position minimum 3 days a week (Tue-Thur)
SI-BONE® is focused on helping patients in one of the most under-served, under-diagnosed, and under-treated areas in orthopedics, the sacroiliac (SI) joint. SI-BONE developed an innovative, patented implant to fuse the SI joint. The iFuse Implant System® provides a less invasive alternative to traditional sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion surgery and has been used in over 90,000 procedures to date.

General Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, this energetic, self-starter will serve as the reporting and technical accounting lead for the Company. The successful candidate will handle a variety of monthly and quarterly month-end close tasks, as well as ad hoc projects. This individual will also partner up with the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and oversee various departmental expenses from a budgeting and analysis perspective.
The SEC and Financial Reporting Manager must act and conduct company business in an honest, ethical and lawful manner, consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct, other company policies and the AdvaMed Code of Conduct and/or any other applicable industry code(s) of conduct. Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with all applicable worldwide regulatory requirements as included in the scope of the SI-BONE Quality Manual.
Specific Responsibilities and Skills:
Responsible for SEC reporting and technical accounting
- Prepare all external financial reporting drafting and disclosures, including preparation of 10Qs/10Ks including footnote disclosures, cash flow statement, and relevant disclosure checklists and handle the internal and external review for these documents.
- Lead Disclosure Committee meetings.
- Prepare or support the preparation of other SEC filings and investor communications, including 8-Ks, annual proxy and earning release materials.
- Perform technical accounting research and prepare technical memorandum on complex issues.
- Evaluate new accounting guidance and determine its potential impact to the Company’s financial statements.
- Analyze and understanding complex transactions, applying complex accounting standards to those transactions, developing solutions to problems and effectively communicating the results to stakeholders.

- Compliance and internal controls
- Be the key liaison and manage the SOX compliance efforts in coordination with third-party consultants.
- Coordinate with third-party consultants and external auditors to ensure timely completion of the walk-through process and SOX testing throughout the year.
- Review SOC1 reports for third-party providers.
- Accounting Operations
- Assist with the documentation, implementation and maintenance of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare stock-based compensation schedules, lease accounting schedules and EPS calculations.
- Assist in accounting operations and month end close process around revenue, rebate, royalty accounting.
- Review monthly financial reporting packages for all international subsidiaries.
- Prepare financial census reports.
- Assist in any ad hoc projects.
- Compliance and internal controls
Knowledge, Education and Experience:
- BA/BS in Accounting.
- CPA preferred.
- Outstanding project management skills to establish and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements.
- Experience in internal controls assessment.
- Experience with Workiva and PowerBI a plus
Salary range: $135,000 - 150,000. The compensation range for this position is specific to the location and is in good faith what SI-BONE expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
