Sr. Manager /Associate Director, Sales Enablement
Headquarters is in Santa Clara, CA. Prefer local candidates to be onsite 3 days a week, but open to remote. About 30% travel is required for this role
SI-BONE® is focused on helping patients in one of the most under-served, under-diagnosed, and under-treated areas in orthopedics, the sacroiliac (SI) joint. SI-BONE developed an innovative, patented implant to fuse the SI joint. The iFuse Implant System® provides a less invasive alternative to traditional sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion surgery and has been used in over 90,000 procedures to date.

General Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Sales Enablement, the ideal candidate’s mission will be to drive measurable revenue growth through training initiatives.
The successful candidate will need to be familiar with medical device sales cycles and practices. A background working with surgeons in an Operating Room setting is a must. The candidate must have an ability and desire to collaborate with sales leadership and product marketing to determine knowledge gaps and training needs. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in order to effectively design, plan, and implement company sales training programs that are within legal compliance guidelines.
Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with all applicable worldwide regulatory requirements as included in the scope of the SI-BONE Quality Manual.

Specific Responsibilities and Skills:
- Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and hands-on exercises
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to enhance the clinical skills and knowledge of existing sales team members
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven improvements
- Collaborate with sales leadership and product marketing to identify training needs and priorities
- Create and update sales talk tracks, integrating them into daily workflows
- Implement the development, delivery, and training of effective sales playbooks
- Provide both classroom, lab and virtual trainings to include selling skills, demonstration skills and product/solution knowledge; provide coaching and feedback maintaining the highest level of quality and sales team training experience
- Interact with and engage in cooperative efforts with all core functions of the organization (e.g., Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Regulatory)
- In the event of potential non-compliance with applicable standards or regulations (e.g. FDA QSRs, ISO 13485 or ISO 14971), the employee has the authority to hold any product or Quality documentation from shipment or further processing. The employee has the responsibility and authority to report any instances to Quality and/or Regulatory and his respective management team
- Support the SI-BONE Quality System
Knowledge, Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of field medical sales (or equivalent) experience conducting medical sales training methodology including competitive sales positioning and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Proven experience in sales enablement, training, and coaching
- Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proficiency in creating engaging educational content
- Familiarity with LMS and CMS systems and sales enablement technologies
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across departments
- Excellent public speaking, presentation, teaching, facilitating, critique and writing skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills required
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be committed to operate effectively within a team
- Must be willing and able to address problems pro-actively and to display initiative and perseverance in order to bring about meaningful change. Must be open and responsive to new ideas
- Knowledge and familiarity of applicable regulations/standards (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, EU MDR 2017/745, ISO 14971) as required to perform the job function
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales background or experience in a customer-facing role
- Relevant certifications in sales training or enablement
- Experience with e-learning platforms and content creation tools
Salary range: $118,000 - 140,000. The compensation range for this position is specific to the location and is in good faith what SI-BONE expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
