in this role, you will own and drive two key projects for our People Ops team - global expansion and HRIS implementation. As we scale, we need to ensure we have the best infrastructure in order to collect, audit, update and analyze our people data. You will scope and execute Samsara’s transition from our current HRIS system to the one that will support us at scale. In parallel, you will ensure the right controls are developed and maintained to ensure data integrity on our current HRIS systems.
In this role you will work on:
Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the internal subject matter expert for all things Workday
Workday Administration: Perform tasks not limited to but including business process configuration, tenant configuration, security maintenance, and EIB uploads
Data Integrity: Perform periodic audits and ensure all people data is clean and validated in the system
Reporting: Create custom reports and dashboards for stakeholders within the organization
End User Support: Provide user support, issue resolution, testing, and enablement to enhance and optimize Workday processes
Process Documentation: Document system processes and requirements
Special Projects: Provide people team and organization with support with Ad-Hoc Workday projects as needed
Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices
An ideal candidate has:
3+ years of experience as an admin on Workday
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills, able to navigate and make decisions independently
Expert knowledge in Workday HCM, Absence & Time Tracking, Advanced Comp, and Benefits
Flexibility to meet changing priorities and challenges
Strong organizational and time-management skills, proven ability to prioritize and deliver results on time
Strong discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
