Samsara is seeking an applied machine learning lead to join our San Francisco-based team. We build systems that utilize and integrate several kinds of sensor data(cameras, gps, accelerometer, vehicle obd, etc.) to improve efficiency and increase safety for our fleet customers. Our primary focus is building features for our intelligent dual-facing dashcam product.
In this role you will be responsible for enabling rigor in the machine learning practices that underly Samsara's intelligence features. This role also includes building production software both on the edge and in our cloud service, with a computer vision pipelining focus. Sample applications include ADAS algorithms such as lane-departure detection or time-to-collision estimation, activity recognition for distracted driving, automatic camera calibration, and detecting anomalies in time-series sensor data.
You might work on:
Mentoring colleagues on machine learning and computer vision best practices,
Posing product problems as machine learning problems, or
Cleaning training data and designing appropriate annotation label schema
At Samsara, we welcome all. All sizes, colors, cultures, sexes, beliefs, religions, ages, people. We depend on the unique approaches of our team members to help us solve complex problems.
