Samsara is looking for a Manager, SF Workplace to support the rapidly growing “Samsara Village” headquarters in San Francisco. We are looking for a strategic thinker with experience in managing multiple offices and direct reports who cultivate the day-to-day Workplace experience.

You have a proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, cultivate, and develop a team of Front Desk and Office Coordinators 

  • Oversee day-to-day workplace operations and vendor management including catering, snacks, janitorial, etc. 

  • Implement systems, processes, and policies to support workplace services while growing overall productivity and effectiveness ensuring the team executes against them

  • Work with cross-functional resources to proactively build a best-in-class workplace experience that reflects Samsara’s culture and values

  • Act as a contributor and collaborator on office build outs and tenant improvement projects, working with the Project team, vendors, and contractors 

  • Manage overall office budget and make recommendations for cost savings when applicable 

  • Lead move logistics from when space plan is determined to FDOB, sometimes requiring moves between multiple floors and buildings 

  • Act as liaison between building management and Places team 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Facilities at a fast-growing organization, ideally in tech

  • Experience in hiring, managing, and building a team of at least 5+ FTEs

  • Ability to manage multiple buildings, requiring multitasking several projects at once

  • A consistent track record of completing projects and deliverables on time with diligent follow up, attention to detail, and an ability to develop and execute best practices that align with our culture

  • Familiarity with move and space planning management logistics and tools 

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and move around small office furniture if needed
