About the Role

Pursuit is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial relationship-builder to lead strategic partnerships and revenue generation in the Cyber Security industry. This role is crucial for Pursuit's growth, requiring a leader who can strategically and tactically develop and manage relationships with potential partners. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough research on potential partners, leverage existing relationships (both ours and theirs), and devise targeted approaches to engage and secure partnerships with key companies. You will be instrumental in driving revenue and expanding our footprint. You should have experience achieving revenue-based targets, working with customers in a deeply consultative manner influencing stakeholders to create product-market fit, and a demonstrated ability to develop a new network quickly. Knowledge of the Cyber Security industry is important. You’ll be joining a small, mission-driven company and have the opportunity to build new programs with lifelong impact.

This position will be reporting to our GM, Enterprise,  Thomas Voute, in the short-term as our organization grows. 

As a Senior Client Executive, Employer Services you will: 

  • Conduct comprehensive research to understand prospects, identifying key trends, opportunities, and potential partners in the Cyber Security vertical.
  • Utilize existing relationships and build new ones to develop a targeted approach to relevant companies.
  • Lead and execute partnership and business development strategies, representing Pursuit, to increase revenue and secure new relationships within our employer services program.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Salesforce records for the sales pipeline, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for the wider sales and marketing team.
  • Contribute to the creation, planning, and execution of industry-specific marketing materials and revenue-generating events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and refine sales strategies, including go-to-market plans tailored to the cybersecurity vertical.
  • Secure new partnerships with companies to employ our fellows by deeply engaging with prospects and collaborating to design a sustainable program structure.
  • Achieve new partnerships resulting in annual sales to support the growth and development of our partnerships.

What you need to be considered for the Senior Client Executive, Employer Services role: 

  • 5-7+ years of enterprise sales (hunting) experience, including identifying and qualifying leads, building relationships, storytelling, negotiating, closing, and account management.
  • Knowledge of the Cyber Security industry and market dynamics.
  • Experience in selling at an early stage of the product development cycle and collaborating with stakeholders to create product-market fit.
  • Proven ability to manage complex enterprise sales cycles across multiple departments and levels within an organization, ideally involving complex solutions or services.
  • A successful track record of maintaining accurate pipeline metrics.
  • Ability to clearly articulate our value proposition and handle customer conversations with confidence and ease.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage, connect, and maintain relationships with a wide diversity of individuals.
  • Data-driven and results-focused.
  • Creative, flexible, and solution-oriented.
  • Highly motivated and inspired by Pursuit’s mission.

Where you’ll work: 

  • On-site in our Long Island City office up to 4 days a week (M -Th)

Salary & Benefits:

The anticipated salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000 base + an incentive-based performance bonus for a total compensation of ~$300k.

The compensation range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.  If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
