We are seeking a dedicated Partner Development Representative who will be responsible for delivering exceptional account management, supporting the diligence process, prospecting new opportunities, and helping our partners grow their business while increasing usage of our products and services.

While this position can be US-remote, we strongly prefer candidates located in one of our areas of operation: New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; Philadelphia, PA; and the surrounding Northeast region (NJ, CT, MA, RI, NH).

This position is only open to remote candidates legally authorized to work in the United States and residing in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MA, MI, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, & VA.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Work closely with PosiGen partners to ensure a seamless experience during their application and onboarding process.
  • Support partners with any questions about our program offering, technology, and experience.
  • Create reports and utilize data to monitor account performance for weekly and monthly check-ins with clients.
  • Collaborate with Partner Enablement to train and onboard new partners to the PosiGen platform.
  • Work internally with various PosiGen teams to create a successful partner experience.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with partners within your assigned region.
  • Identify partners' needs and explore opportunities to grow their business together.
  • Present product information to partners once their needs have been identified.
  • Perform regular follow-up calls or emails to maintain communication with existing partners, ensuring satisfaction and identifying new needs.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective partners.
  • Write and distribute agendas, proposals, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings.
  • Create and maintain client files, and curate territory-specific lead lists.
  • Provide effective administrative support to partners and other PosiGen Channel Sales team members.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information, and preparing demos.
  • Accomplish department and organizational goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests that align with the goals of the organization and position.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of your territory and industry trends.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field
  • Successful completion of coursework in sales techniques, marketing, and communication may be advantageous
  • At least 2 years of experience in a sales-related role, including experience with cold-calling and lead qualification
  • 2+ years of renewable energy experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to financial inclusion, social justice, and/or access to clean energy

 

Physical Demands

The physical requirements outlined are essential for performing the core duties of this role.

  • Primary responsibilities involve regular speaking, listening, standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, and reaching with arms.
  • Occasionally, the role may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must be able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.
