Summary:

At PosiGen, we are passionate about delivering money-saving solar and energy efficiency solutions to people of all income levels. We are seeking an organized, energetic, and results-driven Regional Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will focus on driving sales and building partnerships within your assigned region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful sales management, natural leadership abilities, excellent skills in maintaining client and industry relationships, and a genuine passion for promoting PosiGen’s mission and values.

This position is only open to candidates legally authorized to work in the United States and residing in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeast regions. Travel is required around 50% of the time. 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Identify and pursue sales leads, prospective new clients and move them through the sales pipeline from qualification to diligence and final approval stages
  • Initiate outgoing cold calling and emailing to potential customers, schedule in-person and remote sales appointments, and follow up on client requests for information 
  • Maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts; implement strategies to grow wallet share and deliver an excellent Partner experience
  • Travel within your territory to meet clients one-on-one
  • Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
  • Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
  • Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic
  • Generate and submit sales reports to leadership
  • Monitor competitor activities and updates; make recommendations for program improvements 
  • Collaborate across departments for partner success and compliance with the PosiGen program
  • Forecast sales within assigned territory and report trends to leadership
  • Leverage data, reporting, and insights to improve partner experience, pipeline performance, and other KPIs for success 
  • Other duties as assigned by leader

 

Competencies

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a strong ability to resolve problems effectively.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working in Salesforce.com (SFDC) to manage accounts, log activities, and perform related tasks.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including strong email etiquette and verbal negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to leadership and engaging in high-level discussions.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and circumstances.
  • High comfort level with business-to-business sales.
  • Fundamental understanding of residential solar financing.

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Coursework in sales techniques, marketing, and communication is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a business-to-business sales role, including experience with cold calling and lead qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in the residential solar industry.
  • Prior experience supporting or selling solar financing options is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to financial inclusion, social justice, and/or expanding access to clean energy.

 

Physical Demands

The physical requirements outlined are essential for performing the core duties of this role.

  • Primary responsibilities involve regular speaking, listening, standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, and reaching with arms.
  • Occasionally, the role may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must be able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.
